Meet the Team

Chelle is the Home Manager and brings a wealth of experience as a Registered Nurse for 30 years and having managed care homes for 12 years.  Chelle is passionate about providing a meaningful and stimulating environment for the residents and has received accreditations notably for providing excellent dementia and end of life care.

Chelle’s nursing career began on medical and trauma wards in Oxfordshire. She then joined the prison service, where she worked as Senior Sister in high security male prisons for 12 years.  It was during this time that she was awarded Prison Service Nurse of the Year UK in 2001 for the Nursing Standard. 

Additionally, Chelle have had the privilege of working as a private nurse for several celebrities. Chelle is also currently studying a master’s degree in healthcare and clinical leadership.

Stuart has worked in catering for over 18 years, 16 of those years within care homes and is most passionate about the dining experience that our residents will be able to enjoy. Whether choosing to eat in our beautifully designed dining rooms or preferring in-room dining, Stuart will work alongside our residents to offer a menu that encompasses their favourite dishes as well as some additional flavours and cultures. One thing you can guarantee is that there will always be home-baked biscuits and cakes for our residents and their loved ones to enjoy!

I am one of the kitchen assistants and have a strong passion for making sure every resident feels valued and comfortable. I really enjoy baking, love having chats with the residents and am always up for helping with a puzzle!

I am a dedicated and compassionate Registered General Nurse with a deep commitment to providing exceptional care. With over 10 years of experience, I have developed a strong expertise in geriatric nursing, palliative care, and Dementia well-being. My approach is centred on treating each resident with dignity and respect.

I am constantly striving to improve my skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training. My dedication to nursing extends beyond clinical duties, as I aim to be a source of comfort and reassurance for those in my care. I am honoured to work at Floryn House, where I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

I began my career in care at the start of the pandemic and instantly fell in love with the profession and helping others. Over the years I have gained valuable experience in care including residential, dementia and nursing sectors. I am very excited to be part of the Floryn Family and support my team to deliver the highest of care. I look forward to completing my NVQ level 2 alongside looking after our residents and ensuring they are happy and healthy.

Pedro is a dedicated team leader at Floryn House, where he guides and supports the team. Pedro has a strong interest in business and is constantly seeking ways to improve and innovate at Floryn House. Pedro helps to ensure all our Residents live a very happy and fulfilled life. 

Sofia is an experienced carer currently completing her nursing degree. Sofia has dedicated herself to providing compassionate and high-quality care.

Sofia is our exceptional team leader, and is committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment, ensuring that our team is motivated and equipped to deliver excellent patient care.

Sofia has been driven by a passion for helping others and a commitment to professional growth.

Hi, my name is Bella, I have been influenced by care homes my entire life, thanks to my biggest role model; my mum. I started in 2022 as an activities coordinator and completed my NVQ in activities in social care. I have a particular passion for Dementia care, and I am proud to say I am Floryn House Care Homes Dementia Champion. My Dream is to become a Dementia specialist nurse. I am excited about my progression within Floryn House and I’m so excited to work somewhere so beautiful.

I have been working in health and social care since I was 18. I am very passionate about the care industry and making a difference in someone’s life. I’m a great believer in teamwork as this brings the best results for our residents. I have a willingness to improve my knowledge and hope to complete my Level 3 diploma in health and social care.

Victoria is a dedicated caregiver with a passion for providing person-centred care. She began her career in care in 2007 within a community setting, where she gained valuable experience. As her career progressed, she transitioned to working in a residential nursing home, enjoying the opportunity to meet new people and hear their stories.

Victoria is committed to supporting individuals in living as independently as possible. She is thrilled to be part of the Floryn House family and looks forward to advancing her career in nursing in the future.

I have enjoyed dedicating 6 years of my life to caring for those who need it. I started my career in care as a support worker, looking after adults with learning difficulties. After my Nanny passed away in 2021, I decided to make a slight career change and dedicate my time to elderly care. I thrive on creating a positive environment for elderly people and make it my mission to put a smile on their faces as I believe they deserve to be celebrated for all the service and sacrifices they have made so I stand here today. It makes me happy to bring a little bit of brightness to their day. My future aspirations are to become a registered nurse within Floryn House.

I have been working in care for just over 4 years and got into care because I wanted to make a difference in elderly lives. I love to help people in any way I possibly can; it’s my passion!

Kate has been working in care since 2018. Informed by family experience, Kate has a special interest and talent in supporting residents with dementia.

Kate aims to make a difference and can understand the unique way people with dementia see, touch, and feel and is an invaluable member of our team.

I’m the activities manager for Floryn House and have 8 years of experience in care. I enjoy the daily interactions with the residents and creating special memories for them whilst tailoring activities to their specific preferences. You may not always see me, but you can definitely hear me!

I joined the team in January 2025 as the Maintenance Officer, bringing over 10 years of experience as a maintenance manager in the hospitality sector. I am committed to making the home safe and well-maintained for the residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I am the Head Housekeeper here at Floryn House and have over 20 years of experience in cleaning, once owning my own cleaning business. With an eye for detail and a fun and bubbly personality, I take great pride in ensuring that our beautiful home sparkles and that the highest standards of cleanliness are upheld for our resident’s homes. When you see me around the home don’t be afraid to say hello!

Joining the housekeeping team, Jake is enthusiastic about contributing to Floryn House. With a lifelong passion for cleaning, Jake brings dedication and a strong work ethic to the role. Known for being outgoing and caring, Jake is committed to making a positive impact on residents’ lives by ensuring our home is clean and safe.

Jake looks forward to being an integral part of the Floryn House community and making a difference in the lives of residents.

Mandie has joined the Floryn House team as one of the Receptionists, bringing over 14 years of experience in the care sector. Previously serving as a lead Activities Coordinator in a care home environment, Mandie has a strong passion for supporting people with dementia and is dedicated to making residents smile and have fun.

Mandie understands the challenges faced by the families of residents and is committed to providing support during the early days. She is enthusiastic about contributing to Floryn House and aims to help create a warm, safe, and loving environment that enhances the lives of the residents.

I am a receptionist here at Floryn House so you will mostly find me at the front desk. I am fairly new to the care industry and first started here as a carer when Floryn was just opening. I consider myself a fun, loving individual and find joy in the little things which is why more often than not you will catch me with a cup of tea in one hand and a piece of cake in the other!

Denise is our Hairdresser and sometimes you may see her helping on Reception here at Floryn House. Denise was an apprentice hairdresser and has been doing ladies, gents and children’s hair ever since.

Through my past experiences as a disabled equipment manufacturer, installation engineer, technical sales representative and maintenance electrician, I have become a huge people person and I love to help others out. I joined Floryn House as a minibus driver and I love chatting to residents whilst I help them explore the community.

Winnie is the beloved dog of our Home Manager and will be coming to the home every day to bring joy to our residents and team alike.

Winnie is available for cuddles and playtime with our residents. Winnie likes to run around in the garden and bathe in the sunshine before rolling around in wet grass to cool down.
